1 October 2008 - New developed Rotary 100

The development of the 2. generation of Rotary RA 160 is now finalized and will be marketed under the product name Rotary 100. Rotary 100 is a completely new development, both as regards the technical side and the design, but with the same principle as the Rotary RA 160.

3 July 2008 - Complete Test according to EN12101-2

Actulux has with success carried out a complete test according to EN12101-2 with two customers on the export markets.

8 April 2008 - SA Power No. 10.000

Only 11 months after the first serial production Actulux has now produced 10.000 pcs. SA Power opening systems.

7 July 2007 - Internal and Official Test

Actulux is carrying out a number of internal and official tests and approvals according to EN12101-2 in close co-operation with the producers of the skylights. The internal test at Actulux in Hadsund includes 10.000 comfort openings, where the skylight opens 30-40 cm and 50-200 fire openings, where the skylight opens min. 140°. The skylight will later be tested with snow load to make sure that the opening system has the power to lift the snow. The test also includes a heat test where the skylight and the opening system must prove that the system works in case of fire.

16 June 2007 - New Control RV 24-5 (230V/24VDC,5A)

Based on wishes from our customers Actulux has introduced a new control, the RV 24-5. The 5 amp. control is used for installations with 1-2 opening systems. This will save costs for the customer as we until now have only produced 24 amp. and 32 amp. controls. The 5 amp. control has the same facilities as the larger controls.

29 September 2006 - Certified Customer Test

We are pleased to announce that one of our customers has now fulfilled a complete certified test in accordance with the EU-standard EN12101-2 with skylights mounted with electrical opening systems from Actulux A/S with a positive and approved result.

The test was made at the approved institute "Svenska Prövningsinstitut" in Sweden.

The test concerned 7pcs. of the Actulux opening system, type RA 160 (opening system incl. telescopic rail), which was mounted in 4 different types of skylights:

Skylight size 1.12 x 1.12 m (outer dimensions), mounted with 1 pc. Actulux opening system.

Skylight size 1.12 x 2.12 m (outer dimensions), mounted with 2 pcs. Actulux opening systems in tandem.

Skylight size 1.40 x 2.20 m (outer dimensions), mounted with 2 pcs. Actulux opening systems in tandem.

Skylight size 1.32 x 2.52 m (outer dimensions), mounted with 2 pcs. Actulux opening systems in tandem.

The test is made up to the following classification:

Heat resistance 300°C (B 300)

Wind load 1500 N/m² (WL 1500)

Lifetime test with 10.000 comfort openings (10 sec. opening ~ approx. 25° opening angle)

Reliability with 50 times (Re 50) opening to fire open position, 140° opening angle

Low ambient temperature at -5°C (T(-05))

Snow load with 720 N/m² (SL 720)

1 September 2006 - New Demands to Fire Ventilation

New rules in connection with the demands to the opening systems
for fire ventilation became effective from 1 September 2006. The fire ventilation must, from 1 September 2006, fulfill the demands according to the harmonized EU-norm EN12101-2.

Actulux's electrical opening systems are designed and tested to meet the requirements of the fire ventilation according to EN12101-2.

Actulux's electrical opening systems make it possible to combine both fire and comfort ventilation in the same opening system.
